Antique Baluch tribal rug woven by the Salar Khani sub tribe. www.knightsantiques.co.uk
Size: 5ft 9in x 2ft 11in (174 x 89cm).
Circa 1900.
The rug has three large turreted guls on a soft brown coloured ground, the rug is framed by a traditional Baluch border. At each end of the rug there is an interesting piled panel.
The rug is in good condition with even wear with medium pile, there is some corrosion to the browns. There are very slight losses to the bottom end kilim of the rug.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
