This circa 1890 antique Fereghan Sarouk #7631 Oriental Carpet measures 5’9’ x 8’0” (179 x 243 cm). It has a beautifully drawn Herati motif in pale blue and rust on a dark blue ground. The Herati is drawn on two ways. Look closely and you will see it. The field is encompassed with two reciprocal borders of pistachio green foliage on a yellow ground. The major border is composed of a combination floral and shield motif connected by a rust meander on a pistachio green ground. The rug is full pile with complete ends and sides. It is in essentially perfect condition. It is clean and ready to go.
