Antique Anatolian Aydin Kilim. 19th Century. This is a monumental, early white ground West Anatolian (Aydin Region) kilim exhibiting saturated vegetable colors with bold drawings. In the heart of the kilim, stand four stacked medallions composed of nested hexagons outlined with classic Turkish latch-hook motifs. Indigo framed and flanked by extending hooks or zoomorphic bird’s heads. Truly tribal piece. Great condition considering age. Original four sides. 11 colors. 4'9" x 10’0”. Delicately hand washed.
