This is an good example of a Tekke rug with Salor turreted guls, this rug has three rows of eight guls with a very well drawn Salor minor gul. The colour palette is very pleasing with a rich Cochineal purple/red field and highlights in indigo blue and ivory. The main border design is of a scare and unusual format. This rug is of a slightly larger size than is normally found in this design.
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile. There are a few small old repairs that are very difficult to detect
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
