Tekke Turkmen khorjin, complete and in excellent condition. Overall dimensions 35” x 16” (89 cm x 41 cm). Each pile face about 16” x 14“ (41 cm x 36 cm). Bridge area between bags is also in pile. The design motifs are all from the Tekke design vocabulary, and the weave is relatively fine. Circa 1900, maybe into early 20th c. No apparent dye run or bleed, nor other evidence of unstable dyes. Closure system is double row of loops that interlock.
