Chinese Congratulatory Banner, Late 19th Century. The inscriptions read something like, "The Jade Hall of Sun Reflections". The silk embroidery is of excellent workmanship as is the metallic thread embroidery depicting peacocks, parrots, other birds, some elements of the 100 Antiques repertoire, and fu dogs. The tassels are fine and in multi-colored silk webbing. The border is lined with hand-made mirrors set into brass fittings. 75 x 271 cm.
