An exceptional Antique early to mid 19th century Uzbek Adras Ikat quilted hanging from Bokhara / Bukhara region. It is a haft rang / seven colour Ikat which is considered the highest form of tie dye Ikat weaving because of the complex weaving skills needed to pull off so many colours in these textiles. The weave is silk warp / cotton weft adras as most very early such textiles were. Design is phenomenal boasting intricately detailed archaic floral motifs. The natural dyes colours are dazzling to say the least. The quilted floral printed cotton lining is antique it was probably reattached n it’s history . In a fair condition with some slight surface wear as expected of its age and seen on photos. It is a true textile art offered at a reasonable price. Size: 56cm (22”) x 51cm (20”).
