Antique Kazak rug in an indigo blue ground with polychrome boteh / buta motifs. ~1880-90. 102x170cm (3'4"x5'6"). Rare natural colors which can not be seen in late examples - apricot, emerald green, shaded medium indigo, two shades of yellow.
