Kizyl-Ayak Turkmen knotted circa in 1880, antique, collectors item, 348 x 232 (cm) 11' 5" x 7' 7" carpet id: BRDI-9
The knots, the warp and the weft threads are hand spun lamb wool. The selvages are woven on three lines with goat hair, the black knots are oxidized, allover geometric design, the background color is brown/rust, the surrounded large border is ivory, fine knotted, elegant, the pile is uniformly short, both edges are finished with 4cm kilim, in its original shape.
