Antique Talish from South Caucasus. Beautiful and rare "kilim" design with multicolor hooked medallions with ram’s horns and Mother Goddess figures. Classic main border on white ground with big palmettes, eight pointed stars and animals. Beautiful secondary border showing milticolor swastikas or pinwheels included in squares, all surrounded by a barber pole frame. Bautiful size 235x137cm and floppy handle. Headens secured. Low pile with localized wear, repiling, restorations here and there but…What colours, what charisma, what carpet! Professionally washed.
