Back
Baluch three of life (or Vase) design with a beautiful range of natural colors, including green and light blue.
I think it could be from Sistan dating late 19th or early 20th century at least. It measures 1,05x2,00m and it's in good conditions for the age, with both kilim ends still present. It has been not repaired or reweave, just some wear at the Shirazi and in the field. The structure is in very good condition with very fine weave. Gently washed.
I have not many info about pieces like that. But i found something here: herrmann, eberhart, Asiatische Teppich- und Textilkunst 2. Munich 1990, no. 52 - sorgato, david, Baluch from the David Sorgato collection. Milan 2007, no. 25.
