An Very Rare Real Gold Block Varak Print Trouser For Shrinathji, From the Deccan Region of South India. India. Real Gold Varak Print on the Cotton Mulmul Cloth, These are made to order pieces for the temples of Nathdwara,Kishangarh,Udaipur,Jaipur Etc.
This special technique involves carving a wooden block, then mixing a glue of gum .Then Placing gold or silver leaf called Varak ,over the stamped areas and padding it with a cloth pad until th varak completely Adheres to the Cloth. Finally , when the glue is dried, dusting the excess gold leaf away with a brush.C.1850-1875 Its size is 64cX74cm(20210517_160245).
