Old Chinese rug with an unusual and spacious field and border design. i have never had or seen this interesting design. No idea of the possible symbolism or is this just an array of plant forms or tree branches in space. In obvious rough condition with some heavy center wear mostly adhering to the center line but also some scattered wear as shown. Looks like a bit of old staining on back as shown. Have not attempted to clean. Age? 4’4” x 7’
