Antique Baluch camel ground prayer rug with 'tree of life' design. www.knightsantiques.co.uk
Size: 4ft 7in x 2ft 9in (140 x 84cm).
Circa 1900.
The rug is beautifully drawn and has excellent colour, the camel wool ground is very soft. The rug retains part of the original kilim end finishes at both ends. The rug features two trees to the field and small trees in the hand placements. The outer border is in a soft faded red.
The rug is in good condition with slight even wear, and good pile. There are very slight losses to the kilim ends.
The rug has been hand washed and ready for use or display.
The rug is suitable for light domestic use.
