Beautiful Antique Baluch Rug, 39" x 68", complete with original goat-hair side selvages and flat weave ends. The rug appears to have all natural dyes. i counted 7-8 colors; deep indigo, medium blue and deep greenish-blue, aubergine, natural brown, reddish-orange (tomato), off white, and small areas of an orange that do not appear to be synthetic. i am not sure of where or when it was woven; I'm guessing around the end of the 19th century. In all the years i have owned this rug i never use it on the floor. i have not attempted any repairs, it is as found. The ends are neatly overcast to prevent unraveling. i have shown details of areas with issues that i noticed, all of which i consider relatively minor; one photo shows an area with the most wear, one with a separation in the Kilim end, one with the most worn Kilim end, one with some fraying of the goat hair selvage and one showing an area where the selvage was re-secured to the outer edge of the rug. No re-piling has been done. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. Shipping cost depends on your location. This rug needs ample natural light to appreciate the colors.
