Back
Exemplary 2nd half 19th century Jaf. Wide. 44 x 27.2 inch (112 x 69 cm). Robust drawing, beautiful shades, two tones of purple and excellent yellow. Signs of tribal use in the lower half, two small damaged area's, one repair. In the top, two half diamonds are done in fuchsine which has completely faded to the natural wool color. You can only see it from the back, which leads to a date shortly after 1860, when fuchsine was introduced. i don't see many Jaf's of this quality any more. Blue lattice, with some intermiient brow. Funky guardstripe. Excellent wool. Nice! You can reach me at alexanderbakker@flairforflavor.com, as the Rugrabbit mailing system seems not to be working.
