Size: 5ft 6in x 4ft 1in (168x 125cm).
19th century.
The rug has very soft wool and a very floppy handle. The rug is beautifully drawn with superb colours through out. Rugs of this exact design have been woven from the 18th century onwards.
The rug is in good condition with some wear in places and generally good pile. The rug has a number of re-woven areas, these include the lappets at the top end and a section of the border on the right hand side, along with a scattered old repairs, these are reflected in the price.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
