Back
Early Isfahan pictorial small rug. Gorgeous saturated and harmonious colors (cochenille). Very good condition, excellent wool, some corrosion in the beige dye as typical of 19th and early 20th century pieces. Ends show minimal wear. Some nice abrashes and free drawing. Top right border is wider than top left, giving freedom of expression to this piece. In my opinion better than those later stilted atelier pieces, which were made for stilted respectable citizens. This one shouts with joy! Size 37.4 x 22.8 inch (95 x 58 cm).You can contact me directly at alexanderbakker@flairforflavor.com, as the rr mailing system seems not to be working.
