The bodice of this jama is close fitting and does not prepare one for the extraordinary flare of the skirt which is attached to it by a narrow band on the inside. The classy finish of the neckline makes it a memorable piece. The right panel crosses over the left, but the flair of the skirt is so full that the crossing over is visible, even sleeves taper a little towards the wrists. The skirt: there are so many gathers at the waist band that the appearance of the garment is that of a flounced skirt, it consists of as many as 200 gored pieces (kalis) . . . . . . Available
