Gorgeous Shahsavan (probably Karagan area) long, but not too long carpet 290x125cm. Two columns of 8 Memling Gouls create an hypnotic pattern that glows due to the shining wool of the North West Persian Mountains. Wide range of natural colors including red, brick red, blue, light blue, green yellow, black. White border with classic geometrical motives including multicolor eight pointed stars and ogdoades. All surrounding by a double frame of positive/negative Medachyl. Original multicolor/multicords selvedges and kilim still present on one side. Design still present on both sides. Meaty, chunky full pile with only one spot of wear and one little, quite invisible restoration (see the back). The cotton foundation and the high pile promise a long life of joy in every place of the house. An outstanding collector item. Professionally washed.
