Black ground assembled Kashmiri embroidery. 65"x65" The boteh in the corners are appliqued to a twill woven wool cloth. Fine and lustrous, but i hesitate to call it "pashmina". i have seen very good shawls with replacement centers much coarser than this, for what it's worth. The "paisleys" seem to be of the same materials and workshop as the borders and gates. Some early stages of black decay in the borders, short separation of flags and border on one side. Minor pinhole. All illustrated. The shawl/decorative textile is complete. The top border is folded over on the bar. Domestic sale only.
