Here is an amazing and super rare 100%silk Farahan Poshti that measures 2x2.11 in size. Silk Farahan carpets are extremely rare and highly sought after by tribal and Persian rug collector. Most silk Farahan carpets are normally 4x6 Ft is size, but this example is a poshti size and finding a silk Farahan in this size in perfect full pile condition is even more rare. This example has a one directional designed with a vase centered at the bottom the of rug with a blossoming tree design decorated with polychrome colored flowers and birds thought out the piece. The border take its inspiration from Kurdish weavings. The pistachio green color in indicative of silk farahan carpets and is seen in most example. It also has a purple silk salvage that is used to identify Mohtasahm Kashan rugs which took inspiration from earlier Farahan productions.
