Shirvan Caucasian, knotted circa in 1890 antique, collector's item, 178 x 125 (cm) 5' 10" x 4' 1" carpet id: RSZ-10
The knots are hand spun wool, the black knots are oxidized, the background color is indigo with abrashes, the selvages are rolled on two line with cotton, the weft threads are wool, the three center medallions are surrounded with peacocks and kufic design, the surrounded large border is ivory, the edges are woven with tiny kilim, minor places to be knotted, very finely knotted, elegant, soft as an handkerchief and in its original shape.
