Shahsavan pile bag with a very rare border. i have seen this pattern published but can't remember where - most likely Frauenknecht (as a sumac weaving). Delicious colors, gorgeous wool. Again i am having problems with colors on this site - they look fine on my phone, here they seem muted. So please email me for high res photo's. Nice and big, size 24.4 x 24.4 inch (62 x 62 cm). Fine weave, long pile. Original closure system intact (incl loops), heavily worn back, excellent front. This was a prestige weaving as evidenced by some fuchsine highlights, dating the bag around 1870. These have had time to revert to their original color and don't disturb the palette. You may email me directly at alexanderbakker@flairforflavor.com, as the Rugrabbit mailing system seems to be working intermittently. Best Alexander
