a couple of what m.g. Konieczny at page 52 of his book “Textiles of Baluchistan” shows us as Dasdan (Runner) or Jamdan, a rectangular bag which is formed by folding a Dasdan, used by the Chagai people of Pakistan on top of their bedding pile. The sizes are 250x32cm for the biggest one and 178x30cm for the smallest one. Both show a very skillful weft plane weave with pattern wefts floating on reverse technique and used few but harmonious colors. i would see them displayed on an antique table, on the sofa or, if you want to be more “philological” on the bed. In very good conditions. Charming collector’s pieces.
Please ask for Hires photos.
price:
350 euro for both
