a late 19th century Salar Khani small rug A well drawn and finely woven Salar Khani rug, size 149 x 82cm. The main field motifs are turret and chuval guls interspersed with a variety of small motifs including a herd of goats tracing the inner guard borders at one end. Both ends are decorated with classic Salar Khani 'anchor' designs highlighted against a white background with a number of well drawn goats at one end. Heavy wear to center and at one end, where the foundation is visible, there are a couple of old discoloured professional repairs in the main field. With fine old Baluchi colours, this is an unusual rug
