Vintage Agate and Silver Earrings by Jewels. Four rare hair ornaments carved in agate, called tanfouk or talhakimt, drop from a copper and silver disk for a pair of lightweight earrings. These ornaments were worn by women in Mali and Mauritania and are found across Islamic Africa. They are regarded a love charms by the Tuareg, incorporating the feminine ring and the masculine arrow.
