Early colorful moghan Kazak rug with classic memling gul field and nearly square size. Somewhat unusual and spacious ivory border. All good natural colors. As found, scattered areas of wear and a number of crude small repairs. Oxidized browns, small amount repiled. Minor loss at one end. Restorable. Good age, ca. 1870 or earlier. 65” x 71”
