Lori Rug, Late 19th century. Pole medallion design in mostly saturated natural dyes. Very soft wool. In very good condition. The medallions bear dots all along the borders similar to those in Sasanian and Sogdian roundels on lampas woven textiles. The reds are or have some percent of alizarin with some slight run that a bit of sun will correct. 127 x 224 cm
