Unusual and rare Yomut Turkmen prayer rug. Circum-Caspian zone, most probably Ogurjali work (traditional for the tribe irregularities, colouring, set of borders, etc.), although with definite traces of 'foreign intrusions' for the Caucasian-type shaped arch and some non-Turkmen motifs of the central field. All kinds of regular South Caucasus-Eastern Caspian Sea coast contacts were quite intensive from times immemorial, so there is no wonder that both sides shared some patterns, in case of prayer rug in particular.
