Small rare bagface, the horseman appears to be holding aloft a burning torch or branch. It was apparently a Qashga’i custom for a groom to collect his bride in this way, but the weaving does not seem to be Qashqai, maybe Afshar? The fringes are not original, there are a few small restaurations in the white wool. With some silk knots on the saddle. 37 x 36 cm.
