This circa 1900 Angora wool Oushak Turkish Oriental carpet measures 5’11” x 9’8” (176 x 298 cm). This is a very attractive Angora Oushak in the coupled column meditation motif complete with inscriptions in the field and in cartouches above the spandrels. The major border is a gray green with a large floral motif surrounded by six reciprocal minor borders. This Angora rug shows minor wear consistent with age. The ends and sides are complete.
