Buddhist Temple Silk, Japan, 18th c. This large (84 inches x 26 inches) Buddhist temple silk is probably from Edo. a wide range of wonderful colors. The back is lined with paper with a cursive script which was not used after 18th century. The silk is in decent condition for its age (a few small tears). The paper on the back is in less good condition, but it is all still there. a lovely and large textile with real age and a good price.
