Antique Kazak Rug, ca.1880; 4’1” x 6’4” / 124 x 193 cm Three medallions, loosely diamond shaped, with hooked diamond centers, populate the dark salmon pink field, surrounded by a sawtooth border in green/salmon. The main border features the well known “tuning fork and calyx leaf” motifs. Secondary, geometric flowers on medium blue/indigo. Rug is in overall good condition with light wear consistent with an age of ~ 140 years. Please expand and study photos carefully.
