Back
a fabulous and vibrant antique Uzbek silk embroidered suzani from Shahrisabz region dating between 1900- early 1920’s. It has beautiful chain stitch silk embroidery on a cotton ground fabric. The design is dazzling and though a bit younger it still maintains the intricacies of the classic mid 19th century Shahrisabz suzanis with their floral repertoires. The rich and hot colours somehow work and echo the dazzle of the older examples. It is lined with a beautiful Russian cotton fabric and edged. It looks beautiful on the wall of any home. In relatively good condition as seen in the photo. And offered at a very reasonable price. Size 171cm x 123cm (67.5” x 48.5”). Email your questions
