This is a very good, lush, old Kurdish rug of the 19th century. It has full pile throughout with a beautiful natural camel hair field. Great colors including very interesting shades of green. The rug resembles a Bidjar type, but is not woven like one. This is an endearing tribal rug with a charming, primitive interpretation of an old classic design. Some white cotton pile used in the minor border at the top of the rug. Collectable and functional. The full, rich camel hair pile is very seductive. All dyes are excellent. Size 110 x 52 inches.
