Circa 1890.
a good small rug with two cruciform medallions on a dark indigo blue ground. The medallions in light indigo blue and madder red are filled with stars and latch hook devices. The field is filled with smaller latch hook or bird head medallions along with tribal devices and a small animal. The ivory ground border is of a classic Akstafa design. a charming small rug of scarce design.
Excellent condition with even wear and medium pile, the rug is suitable for light domestic use.
Hand washed and ready for use or display.
