Early Anatolian kilim. This kilim is definitely an 18th century example if not earlier. Certain colors and weave characteristics indicate this. The images do not really capture the true colors. The kilim is pretty much all there - edge to edge and lengthwise. Except for what's missing in between. See the detail image of the section where just four warps hold it together proving it is uncut in length. It's amazing to me that it has held together in one piece surviving while hanging by just these four warps. It has been conserved to a linen backing for display and preservation purposes. The conservation work along would cost what i am asking. It came in a trade situation so it is priced to sell.
