rare & beautiful antique shahsavan kelim mafrash panel, nw Persian Tribal, last quarter of the 19th century, and in excellent condition.
The exact size is: 1'-10" x 3'-8" (56 x 112 cm).
An exceptional, bold, graphic, collectable antique textile artifact from the Shahsavan tribal entity. great rich and varied 100% natural dye palette.
Extremely rare to find a pictorial one with a shepard and a large quadraped.
i presume that the bottom ivory guard border has been removed.
Other than that, the weaving is mint and still an eye catcher.
a wonderful prize for any collector of antique village, tribal, or nomadic weavings.
