Two beautiful Central Asian supplementary warp faced woven bands. Ersari? Uzbek? Khirgiz? 19th century. Brilliantly dyed silk supplemental patterning yarns cover areas on both sides of these narrow bands. Size: 2.5 x 76 inches and 2.4 x 64 inches- the one with tassels (added later). Beautiful colors with a very nice tactile quality and highly unusual weave.
