This circa 1880 Camel Hair Hamadan (Serab) Runner #7898 measures 3’5” x 12’10”. This design is the Persian garden design or rose design which is almost always found in Bakhtiari rugs but this time has found its way onto a Hamadan. The design is very nicely drawn with repeated roses in many shades of red on a blue ground all encompassed with a red major border containing various forms of foliage in green, dark red, navy blue, ivory, teal and gold all encompassed with a camel hair brown apron. The rug has good pile. The ends and sides need a little work which i will do before delivery. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $100.00.
