Vintage African indigo cloth, hand woven cotton, Mossi People, Burkina Faso, this is not mud cloth, the cotton fiber is dyed first, and woven by hand into small strips that are then sewn together, this is a textile that was made and used in a remote part of the world, it is not in perfect shape, the ends are not bound, and are a bit frayed into fringe, there may be small holes, and some soiling and fading of color, some separation at the seams, repairs, i have washed it by hand, it is very soft material, and makes a great shawl or wrap around skirt, a nice throw piece on a sofa, or cut up to make pillows or yardage to cover furniture, both sides are shown, the approximate size at the widest points is 36.5in x 55in, #2792, it is amazing how they can control the many shades of indigo blue that you get in this piece, shipping is extra
