There are six bouquets of flowers which form the field motif. The corners are worked in lotus blossoms, bamboo and small peony blossoms. There is a very well drawn crested blue bird perched atop the lotus in each corner. The minor border is light blue with meandering peony design. The major border is dark blue with very large blossoms and meandering vine with lotus and chrysanthemum. This rug is woven of the finest Manchester wool. It looks like silk and feels like velvet. It is over 100 years old and is an absolutely perfect condition. This rug will complement any room and will be a possession to be proud of for years to come. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $150.
