The book ‘Dragon and Horse: Saddle Rugs and Other Horse Tack from China and Beyond’ (published 2013, limited run, first edition). It is the definitive book on saddle carpets from the various carpet weaving areas of China, Inner Mongolia and Tibet; it is lavishly illustrated with many many fine saddle carpet photos, along with detailed descriptions by a (the?) foremost expert in the field. Also an appendix with extensive technical analyses of many of the featured rugs, and several pages of 'glossary of terms'. Two hardcover books in total that come fitted inside a hard slipcase (one book is in English with the photos, 192 pages / 295 images; the other in Chinese without the photos save for a few historical images, 46 pages). Both in excellent, almost as new condition, save for some very minor shelf wear on the case and dust jackets / covers.
