Antique Chinese embroidery sleeve bands, from a short "dragon" robe, last qtr 19thC, mostly couching of gold and metal threads on silk, some silk embroidery, the very straight deep water symbols of each piece have a bat in the center, the rock and mountain earth symbol above the water, is surmounted by a scrolling 4 claw dragon, flying through clouds chasing a flaming pearl, then a lion dog, and a phoenix bird, the main floral border has double gourds, with an outer boarder of Ru Yi, the sleeve bands are mounted under glass in a serving tray, soiling, fading of color, the non-gold metal threads have tarnished, scuffs to the wood frame, scratches in the glass, the approximate size of the tray is 26 inches by 17 inches without the brass handles, i have not removed them from under the glass to inspect them, because the tray looks really great in the store as is, it will be very expensive to ship, #11219
