Minimal nineteenth century Ewe women’s cloth that may be compared to a group of cloths collected in Keta that form part of the Beving collection assembled by a Anglo-German cloth merchant in the closing decades of the 19th and are now at the British Museum. Woven from imported industrial thread, which at that time was a luxury import and higher value than local thread. This is the only piece in this historically important style i have collected over the years.
