turkoman saryk tent bag face (jalor) dating from the first half of the 20th century and woven by Saryks in the border regions of southern Turkmenistan and northern Afghanistan. The piece is adorned with excellent tassel work which is enhanced by the addition of over 100 ceramic and glass beads. There is an unusual strip of kilim woven in goat hair at the top of the bag. Gentle hand washing has revealed the true rich colors. Reference 2755. Size 16 x 65 cms., or 7 x 64 ins. Euros 135.
