9’8” x 7’8” Ersari Main Carpet [SH-063] An antique early Ersari main carpet. Originating from the Amu Darya region, this rug features a 2 x 6 gulli gul pattern on a Salor red field. The secondary gul features an Ashik gul center with radiating birds heads. The early border indicates its age. In very good condition, no repairs, with a horse hair warp and 8 stunning colors, this rug was given a museum quality hand wash before being preserved from light and wear in our gallery’s Turkoman Room.
