Beautiful Antique Persian Kurdo Gallery Size Carpet, ca. 1920, 380 × 185 cm (12' 5" × 6' 0"), This is an antique Kurdish rug from the northwest of Persia and it was woven circa 1920. It has been woven on a 100% wool foundation with all wool pile and all natural vegetable dyes. The abstract field motifs of trees, shrubs, animals, and humans give this piece a true tribal feel. The most unique feature of this carpet is the ivory main border with a rare and unique bat motif. This carpet is in overall good condition with a few small areas of low pile that is consistent with its age.
