Thick piled natural dyed Tibetan khaden with a central mandala-like motif with leaves spread sparingly about in a lovely marled green main field, which itself has a wonderful abrash. The four corners of the main field are anchored by an interlocking trellis-like design while the outer red border is pile mimicking the oft seen red covered felt border commonly found on many older Tibetan carpets. The main border is the so-called 'Greek t' and has flowers at the cardinal points while one of the inner borders is of pearls. Size is 164 x 80cm (approx. 64.5in x 31.5in), both the warp and weft are wool and was made circa the early 1900's. It is in very good condition with full pile.
